High end McDonald's

I live in a city that is known for elegant dining experiences and extravagant hotels. I would of never guessed that i would have a decent dining experience in one of America's most famous fast food stops.

Yesterday as I awoke with my stomach growling and got a craving for some good sausage egg mcmuffins. As parked my car and headed towards the entrance of this specific Mickie D, I got the feeling that this fat food eatery was vastly different compared to others.

To the left of the cool sliding doors was a beautiful statue fountain of a bird bath, nothing you would ever expect to see in a McDonalds. I was mad because I didn't brig my canon camera to capture the moment, so my iPhone camera had to.

Inside, the decor rivaled decent restaurants that created ambiance through their interior environment. It was quite nice to be eating at a place that didn't have stiff chairs and florescent lights beeming down on you. The service was exceptional as well, probably the best I've had in a fast food restaurant.

It's nice to see these corporate eateries go off the beaten path. I live in gated community in Vegas called Rhodes Ranch. It's a suburb situated far from the strip and chaos. This little jewel in the desert is known for its white color residents and beautiful homes. This particular McDonalds was right around the corner of where I live, so I believe this is one instance of companies catering to the community.

Concert Night

Aside from playing three sports in high school, I also played cello in the orchestra. It was an amazing time in my life and still to this day occasionally dabble in playing. I wanted to evoke a professional cellist back in the day, and many of my friends thought I would, but life takes you to unexpected detours. I am glad that my sister also has a passion for orchestral ensembles and has begun training with the viola. She is very gifted too a she made the advanced placement in orchestra in her middle school.
I took this picture during of of her concerts, and was very pleasantly surprised by the skills level of these middle school kids. They were playing professional orchestral movements and songs. Anyway, I’ve gotten a bit off track. My point is living in Las Vegas , It’s great to see young people have an appreciation or performing arts as this city has a distinct stigma attached

Took this in a suburban neighborhood east of the strip. A friend of mine invited me to a little get together she wanted to throw for close friends, and turned out to be a really fun time. I have always lived in the city, until moving recently, so I never really knew what it was living in a Vegas suburb. It’s quite nice actually. No noisy streets at night, one one pestering you for change at a gas station, no such feeling of living in the intercity. It is true that The Strip defines my city, but there is so much more to Vegas than the neon lights, just waiting to be discovered. This peace, this serenity I felt sitting in that jacuzzi, having a glass of red wine, enjoying the company of close friends define my life in Vegas. Moving away is a thought that shills me to my bones…
